Module 1: Education and Careers

Taking the time to explore and discover yourself in this first module can be one of the mroe fulfiulling aspects of the course. You will truly get out of this section of the course for what you put into it. In other words, if you work hard, and are honest to yourself, during this process, you will learn so much about...you!

Before we start exploring your education and career goals, watch this great videos from SFU students about education and  career choices.

Career Exploration

Trying to figure out what career your going to have for "THE REST OF YOUR LIFE" is pretty unrealistic for most teenagers. What we will do in Planning 10 is give you the opportunity to start thinking a little more about "life after high school". Here are some questions you may ask to help you on your journey:

What are my Employability Skills?

Resume? Why do I need one anyway?

What does a good interview look like?

There has got to be more careers out there?

What rights do I have on the job?

I don't think I am being treated fairly?

Is my workplace safe for me to work at?

Where can I find a job?
